It has a smooth, creamy texture just like the Southern Belles made for themselves back in the Antebellum and Civil War years! Which means, NO CHEMICALS ADDED.

The cattle our tallow comes from are grass-fed in several nearby pastures they are rotated to throughout the year. (Herding them from one to the other takes a bunch of family getting together and is noisy, dusty and fun!) They are also fed organically raised alfalfa, hay and prairie grasses bailed during the summer months during the winter months. No hormones, no antibacterials, no chemicals whatsoever. Just like our folks raised them, a long time ago.
